How to change device installations

1. Click on the Start Button.

2.Then click on Devices and Printers

3. Right-click on the computer

4. Then select Device Installation Settings

5. In that menu you select “Yes, do this automatically (recommended)” so windows automatically downloads drivers and realistic icons.

6. You can select “No, let me choose what to do” this will make another menu pop under your selection

7. One of those options is “Always install the best driver software from windows”

8. Or you can choose “Install driver software from Windows Update if it is not found on my computer.”

9. Another option is “Never install driver software from Windows Update.”

10. The final option is “Replace generic device icons with enhanced icons”

11. Then click on “Save Changes” to save anything you have changed.
