Device Manager
1. Click on the start button

2. Then click on the control panel

3. In the control panel click on system and security

4. Then click on Device Manager

5. Inside device manager you can double click on any of the devices to see what drivers they are using. Example double click on Mice and other pointing devices.

6. That shows the drivers such as PS/2 Compatible Mouse and you can double click on that to get into the properties dialog box.

7. In the Properties dialog box click on the General tab to show the main info on the device and the status of the device

8. You can also click on the driver tab to show driver info and change the drivers.

9. Under the driver tab you can click on driver details to show the details of the driver.

10. You can also click on update driver to update the driver

11. This makes a new window pop up where you can have windows search for the driver by selecting Search automatically for updated driver software.

12. You can also click on browse my computer for driver software to install the driver software manually.

13. You can either browse to where you have the driver located or type in the path to the driver on this screen.

14. You can also select from a list of device drivers that are on your computer by selecting Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

15. It will bring up the screen where you can select from which driver you want to install.

16. Then click next to install the driver you selected.

17. Back under the driver tab if you have selected a bad driver you can select roll back driver and this will bring you back to the old driver you had before you updated it.

18. You can also disable the device by selecting disable.

19. Also you can uninstall the driver by selecting uninstall

20. The next tab you can select is the detail tabs to show the details of that device.

21. The last tab is the resources tab and this shows all the resources that device uses.
